Our first blog... what to write. Well, I am still trying to figure all of this out but I think I've got a handle on it. We decided to start blogging since we are so far away from our friends and family. =( We are currently living in Indianapolis, IN where Rene is training to be an Air Traffic Controller. (And no, that is not the guy who stands out by the planes wings with the orange cone things) I am looking for work with no real prospects, but oh well. The weather is hot and humid, which is nothing like Alaska. Not a day goes by when I don't miss home. But, we are making the best of things. This sunday, Rene and I have tickets to see the Colts play the Bills in the new Lucas Oil Stadium!!! Our first NFL game ever!!!! We are stoked! There will be pictures to come =)
Here is a pic of Rene and I with the one and only, Colonel Sanders!!! That's right folks, the KFC dude. We volunteered to help out with the Indy 500 Mini Marathon and was surprised to see which celebrity showed up. It was a very long day as we had to show up around 4 am. It was a great amount of fun though. More to come later on all of our adventures.
