Happy Holidays

I've been meaning to write for like a week but I had the opportunity to work some overtime. Anyways, last Friday after Thanksgiving, Rene and I went to the tree lighting ceremony in downtown Indianapolis. With us being in a big city, we thought this was going to be a grand tree and all. However, we were a little disappointed. There was no real tree, they just strung some lights off the monument. There were a lot of people and they had a stage where people sang some carols.... but it just wasn't that great. I felt bad a little because I had to talk Rene into going and then it was a big flop. Here are some pics, you can judge for yourself.

I just liked this one of a church that was lit up

Around the monument they had set a perimeter where they had large Nutcrackers and lit trees.

And here is the tree, I have one of it not lit up but it was just too ugly :-(

The following day, Saturday, Rene and I put up all of our Christmas decorations. The apartment looks so pretty! The greatest part was the following morning we had our first snowfall. Here are some pics of the snow right outside our front door. The only bad thing about snow and Indiana is that it doesn't stay... it just melts and makes it like Alaska's "break up." However, we will enjoy it while it lasts :0)
